It's so difficult to get pictures of him smiling! Not because he doesn't smile, but because we're so enthralled when he smiles that by the time we come to our senses enough to realise we should capture the moment, the smile's gone and the camera is still downstairs!

Baby's Day Out!
Perng Fey and I brought Der Nen out for the first time yesterday. We were excited, nervous, scared... anyone would have thought we were going to meet the Queen Mother, but no, we were only bringing a little baby out to Ikea. As we fully subscribe to Murphy's Law (whatever can happen WILL happen), our diaper bag weighed about 6kg. (so I carried the baby, PF carried the bag, hahaha...) Here's what we brought on our little adventure :
1. 3 spare diapers
2. Nappy cream
3. Changing mat
4. 1 pack of wet wipes
5. Spare outfit (1 bodysuit, mittens, bootees, hat)
6. 1 Muslin
7. 1 burp towel
8. 2 extra towels (in case the baby floods the floor with his pee???)
9. 1 cooler bag with 1 bottle of milk and 2 ice packs
10. 1 ziploc bag (dunno why? all my books recommend bringing some!)
All this for someone who only weighs 4kg and can't talk or hold in his pee. It took close to an hour to decide what to put in the diaper bag and of course we used NOTHING and lugged everything back home, fully intact!
I realise that PF and I will not be able to have a meal together, as in EAT AT THE SAME TIME, for a while now. Someone's got to hold the baby!

2 October 2006 --> I am 1 month old!
The day started out with Daddy feeding me breakfast. Then, Mummy and Daddy gave me a quick bath before Daddy left for work. Mummy cut my fingernails and I think I fell asleep after that. Then Grandma Ong came over with roasted chickens and boxes and boxes of cakes, fruit tarts, red eggs, ang ku kueh and glutinous rice cakes... all to be given away. Mummy said the chocolate cake was good. She ate quite a lot of it and then felt very guilty.
"That's my Dad!"
"And that's me! Yes, I take breakfast very seriously."
"I cannot stop moving... hence, this fuzzy pic..."
"What should I wear today?"
"That's my Mom!"
